Here is who I am.....

I am a retired Electrical Engineer. While an engineer, I worked for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for 35 years. JPL is a NASA facility that is operated by one of the finest universities in the country, the California Institute of Technology (CalTech). JPL is the organization that sends spacecraft and rovers to Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and other far away space objects. While I was there, I worked on over 50 different fascinating projects and used my knowledge of mathematics, engineering, physics, and computer science extensively.

I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and I have a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, at Austin.

For the past two years, I have been a science fair judge at a local elementary school, and a science fair judge at the Austin regional science fair. I have also given presentations at school "career days" explaining the joys of working at a facility like JPL and why a good foundation in math and science is important. In addition, I have tutored at a Sylvan facility.

I am a strong advocate of math and science in our education system, and now, since retiring, I would like to share my practical knowledge of math and science with students.

Besides tutoring, I also enjoy playing tennis, kayaking, and playing the saxophone.
